Lyca on Patrol

Lyca held the katana with a string that was tied on the scabbard at two points, She was skipping along while the katana was bouncing behind her. The earlier fight had put her in a good mood, it was rare that she would find anything but Tavoo. She had fought a Tavoo before for fun, but it didn;t give her the same feeling as a human with emotions does.

She stopped in the middle of an open plain and looked around hoping to see any signs of life so she could have some fun.

Long red hair blew out behind a face that carried a pair of red eyes. Daigoro Ito sighed and yawned, staring at the membrane above. It was different here from where he normally lived, and he'd seen no humans for an age - only those strange creatures. He thought for a second, before hearing the sound of footsteps. He stopped slightly, and realized that he wasn't in a place that he could hide easily, so he just stood there - if he was lucky, maybe she wouldn't even notice him. She could've been one of those people he'd heard of - the people who had destroyed this world.

His eyes narrowed, and he readied his left arm for a fight - hopefully it wouldn't come down to that.

Don't see me...

She was walking straight and past Ito by just a couple of meters, as if she hadn;t even spotted him. After a few seconds she past him again but this time stopped before him, She looked at him with eyes that weren;t sure if he was there. She grinend as she looked at him, her left eye looking at him from feet to the top of his head. Her long white hair hanging over her right eye-patch, She slowly grabbed her katana raising it from its scabbard. "Who are Ya and what are ya doing here" She grinned hoping for an answer that would give her a reason to fight. She couldn;t just attack, The others of WISE would get mad if she kileld one of their one again.

Dai stepped back almost a foot, noticing the katana instantly. He wondered if she was a Psi user too, but decided to ask nothing of it, instead simply replying with the one thing he could say - the truth.

"I'm Dai. And I'm simply walking around for the hell of it." He smirked, and prepared himself to walk away from the strange looking girl - seemed to be a few years younger than him. His eyes narrowed as he walked away from the strange girl, saying nothing else, not pursuing anything else from her - he just wanted to get away, there was something strange about her.

Lyca focused some rise into her feet as Ito was walking away, She wasn;t entirely convinced he wasn;t part of WISE so she decided to test him. With a single step she closed the samll distances and held the empty katana scabbard in such a way that t was blocking Ito's path. She held the katana with the point of the blade facing backwards.

"Sorry for interupting ya stroll, but could you tell me the name of the first star" Her left eye was now piercing right through him, as her grin had tunred into an outright wide smile. After this question she might be able to enjoy herself once more. Two on one day my luck must be turning

He blinked at the question. The first star...? What the hell? He thought for a couple of seconds and sighed. Crap. Looks like he was caught out - then again, coming to Sector B was a pretty stupid idea on his part. Fine, so she'd managed to figure out that he wasn't on her side, or was he? He put his right hand on his forehead and shook his head, the howling wolf tattoo showing up. He sighed softly, and looked at the girl.

"I don't know what the name of the first star is. And if it was a test, I obviously just failed it, didn't I? And what? Are you gonna kill me, or something?" His eyes narrowed even further, and he didn't know what else to say. He just knew that getting away from her would be a good idea in the long run.

"Kill you? HAHAHAHAHA" She had a evil laugh and stared at him with her left eye "Your no fun dead, to enjoy this oppertunity i need you alive" She grabbed her katana firmly and while forcing her rise into her arm she slashed her crimson scabbard at him from the side while letting the black bladed katana in her hand come from underneath. She used a push of the ground to add some centrifugal force to the blow coming from below.

She did not bother to pay attention to the tattoo it had no meaning to her nor posed it a threat or at least not yet.

Dai grimaced and jumped back with a yelp. What was she doing? It seemed that he wasn't going to get out of this without a fight. And although he'd dodged her first blow, it seemed that her Psi powers far outstripped his in some ways, but not in others. His eyes narrowed, and his left hand began to glow. He looked down at it, shock in his eyes. No, not yet! He looked up at her again, a scowl drawn onto his face, before quickly pulling his arms up into a fighting stance. He had to wait as long as he could. If he used his abilities, that other side of him would come out - not something he wanted happening.

"We can get out of this without killing each other in the process - just walk away now... And I won't be forced to fight back..." He spat at the ground.

A strong wave of enjoyment hit Lyca as she saw Ito jump back, normal humans would be laying on the ground with broken ribs. The glow on his arm interrested her it seemed he was supressing something, she wondered if it was harmfull to him. She couldn;t even begin to believe someone would reject power that made one stronger so it had to be that this glow is a warning for something painfull. Just that thought made her determined to force it out, Without answering him she quikly sheated her sword and jumped forward. She landed a few meters away from him, He was within range, barely. Using her rise to increase her strike speed she used a Iai (quike draw).

She looked like she was enjoying herself - Dai grimaced as she came close again, with that blinding speed. He had to stop her, and put a hand out before realising that he was already to late - she'd used an Iai on him, and he wasn't going to be able to dodge it...

Crunch The sound and feeling of his own bone cracking slightly made him shout out in pain, and he flew back onto the ground. With a groan, he climbed back onto his feet, the Hawk tattoo on his left hand glowing even brighter. She wanted to see his power, huh? Well, it seemed that there was nothing left for him to do, but he hoped that he could keep her at enough of a distance to use it...

"You want to see my power? Fine..." His eyes narrowed, and the energy that had been building up steadily earlier finally released itself in the form that it had being wanting. A flaming bow erupted from the tattoo, and Daigoro's frown began to turn into a feral grin.

"N...Yes... It was beginning to take over. If he used his powers for too much longer he'd be taken over by this other half. He simply raised his left arm, created an arrow in his right hand, drew and fired.

A thrill of excitment went through her as she felt the katana hit, the feeling of the impact resonated through her sword back up her arm. She was delighted when he seemed to get more serious, the only thing to wait for was his power to be unleashed. Just as she was reading herself for the next attack her wish came true, the glowing formed a flaming bow on his arm.

A mixture of disappointment that the release did not cause him much pain and the thrill that her opponent possesed Psi aswell. The arc did remind her of a bow but she wasn;t sure what it could do, Without any regard for the danger she charged ahead. Instead of slashing this time she threw her fist towards his body while a silent whisper came from her mouth "Insanity"

Dai watched the girl come up to him with a grin on her face, dodging the arrow that he'd fired. He grimaced, but then felt her fist hit him in the stomach. He felt it hit, and fell on his back again. But something was happening, he felt Trance waves going into his mind, and he sat up, looking at her carefully. What had she done to him...? He stood up, ready to attack again, when it happened. He went to speak, but all he felt was the anger.

"Wh... I feel so alive!" The man looked straight at Lyca, a feral grin on his face. He stepped back slightly. The will to fight was coursing it's way through his body at a rate that shouldn't be happening. He was confused, but the pleasures that battle brought were beginning to open themselves up to him, and he raised the bow once more, sneering at the girl.

"Urufubaraju!" The energy on his right hand began to glow brighter, and the redhead began to fire arrows at the girl at an inhuman rate. As he fired, he started to move, hoping that she wouldn't keep up.

The first arrow of the volley heading for her scorched the right side of her waist, She moeaned in pleasure as the feeling of burning moved up her spine. She used rise to move to the side the ownderfull feeling of burning kept flooding her as the arrows brused over her skin and scorched her arms and legs. Knowing she had no other choice then to make this a close up fight she moved forward. The moment she jumped forward one arrow burrowed its self into her left shoulder. The pain made her laugh in joy, she unsheathed her katana and preformed an iai with the scabbard only. It was abit slower and less powerfull as her shoulder was bleeding. Using the turn she made a spin and slashed at Ito with her Katana. Whispering "Paranoia"

Dai's eyes widened and he grinned his feral grin as the girl was peppered with his arrows. Good, they had an effect on her. But now she came close again. Red eyes widened further as the girl attacked with another Iai, and caused him to stumble. He stepped back a couple of steps, and was promptly slashed by a katana. He stumbled back a bit further, when he suddenly noticed that the girl had... cloned herself? His eyes narrowed, and Daigoro Ito laughed.

"You think clonin' yerself's gonna work?" He raised his left arm, and the energy that had made itself into a bow, now manifested itself as a... large tube? It began to spin slightly, and Dai turned his arm towards Lyca and her clones.

"Take this. Seiteki Kyanon!" The end of the cannon took in energy and fired a massive pillar of flames at Lyca and the clones, nigh incinerating anything in it's path. As he went over one clone, nothing happened to it - an illusion? Dai's thoughts went wild and he grinned again. Fighting things that weren't there. Perfect. He continued moving his arm in a sweep of the group, trying to find the real one.

The beam fired across the field incenerating even the very ground, The 6th Lyca's tried to dodge yet only four got away with mild burns. One was hit straight on, the other one's arm was completly burned away.

The clone that got the direct hit had a evil grin on its face before it slowly vanished from sight. 5 Lyca's stood before him all had their katana's drawn, four clones and 1 real but which one. Three of them ran towards Ito the other two split up and circled around with rise, The three in front still ran suddenly burst forward. One readied the sword and lunged foward with a stab, the other went low and ahead making a cut from the right side of his feet and up to the left blocking a escape to that side. The one left over had one arm and made a slash from above the left side towards the ground on the right side. As if in unison the two in the back spurted forward and slashed as profesional baseball players two horizontal slashes just a few inches apart.

The clone hits would only damage fatique but that stab towards the center of Ito's gut would pierce him right through.

Dai peered at the clones coming at him. Which one was the real thing? He looked over the group, watching the movements of each one carefully, until he realised it - one was going for a stab. The feral grin grow on his face, as he waited, waited, waited, and through the clone hits, which were pretty draining, he pushed off with his feet, and dived over the sword that would've run through him. He used her head as a vault, not doing anything much because of her original momentum, and landed, turned around slightly slower than he normally would, and fired off another volley of rounds from his Wolf Barrage.

"Get this!" He grinned, and held his arm up to the girls, keeping it as stable as he could. One of the arrows pierced the heart of one of the clones, and Dai knew that he was on his way to finding the real one of the group. He just had to keep going.

The jump caught her off gaurd yet it seemed something delightfull happened, a burning pain came from her left shoulder as an arrow had pierced her. A delightfull moan came from her mouth as she used rise to propell herself forwad and to the left avoiding the incoming volley. She used a half turn and a flip to gain back her balance and direction. Keeping her target in her vision she placed her scabbard in her belt and switched her katana to her right hand.

One of the 4 remaining clones sowly vanished and the three left preformed simular movements as the orignal avoiding most of the arrows avoiding hits to vital points. They all breathed i deep and suddenly bursted forward many times faster then they did before, they simulated the movements of Lyca when using rise. Coming from three diffrent directions they tried to pierce him. They came in at waist height.

Lyca focused rise into her legs and breathed normally she bursted forward a few seconds before the clones did as she was a little firther away. Using the forward motion she jumped up and forward, with a flip she added centrifugal force to the slash coming from above aimed at Ito's head.

Dai's eyes narrowed. That was the problem with clones - they were frustrating to watch, however the real thing always wanted to go for the fatal blow! He grinned, and aimed a single arrow, straight up at Lyca, drawing back and pulling out. In the time it took him to create and nock another arrow, the clones were close. He could only take out one, and so he would only take out one! He drew, and fired straight into the head of another clone, feeling the draining hits of the other ones, before jumping back from Lyca's strike, and grinning. His mental transformation was complete. Standing before Lyca Tsuki was still the same person, but this was also a different person.

Daigoro Ito had hatred in his eyes, and a feral growl escaped from his lips. There was nothing that would stop him from trying to kill Lyca now, except for his own death or unconsciousness. He laughed a feral laugh, and nocked a third arrow, firing straight at the WISE girl.

Lyca felt a thrill, that someone this strong this mercyless should still excist outside of WISE, she was feeling mixed emotions. Should she continue and indulge herself in this feast of pain or should she save it. The chance that this might be the only one left that can give her this satisfaction would be high. "Mister would you like to become my prisoner? I promise i will hurt you every day" She had an evil grin on her face.

She knew that insanity had worn of so he should be able to understand her, the anger should also be decreasing. She used a trick, the 2 remaining clones vanished into Lyca as they lined up perfectly. She ducked and let the arrow skid just above her head as her hair scorched abit, a small burn appeared on her forehead. "Been awhile since someone was able to damage my face." As she neared him the clones split from her suddenly making Lyca appear as three. Lyca used the forward momentum to try to slam into Ito, the clone slashed over Lyca aiming for Ito's head. The last clone used a burst of rise to spin arund the two and use a stab towards Ito's side that did not hold the bow.

Dai's eyes flickered slightly, but he regained what little composure he had.

"Sorry, I got-ta deeeecline." The man was now ready to kill this girl - no matter what it took. He took a step back, and grinned.

Insanity had worn off, but that didn't matter, as Dai's personality had been completely encompassed by this feral side of him. He went to raise his arm again, but suddenly noticed the clones coming to attack. He went to dodge, but watched the woman above his head striking down.

No time! He couldn't dodge - and as the sword hit his head, all he felt was pain. Waitasec, pain? The feral man just laughed out loud, and was suddenly hit on the right side, feeling more of his energy reserves drain away. He grimaced, and stepped back from Lyca, focussing more of his energy into the bow, and aiming it at the three.

"Urufubaraju!" As the arrows let fly, he began to spread his shots around the group of three, hitting another clone between the eyes as well. He laughed wildly as the arrows flew over the group of girls.

"Die, die, die! Such wonderful DESTRUCTION!"

The rain of arrows bombarred down as the clones vanished, using rise Lyca dodged fatal blows each arrow as scorching as the last. This heat filled Lyca with Pleasure, she couldn;t stop, moving through the barrage getting closer with every step.

The heat increased the arrows started to brush alongside her arms and legs. With a sudden burst of rise and by crossing her arms she dove between Ito's arms, the arrows burned into her arms as she attempted a bodyslam. With a feral glare she thrust her sword forward, aiming at his shoulder supporting the bow.

Dai grinned his wild grin, he was getting closer... His eyes opened wide, and he laughed some strange, wild, crazy laugh. But she was getting through them, closer, closer, CLOSER... His eyes widened as she came straight at him with a slash from her katana, going straight for his left shoulder -

Crunch. The katana dug itself into flesh and sinew, cracking his shoulder and causing him to scream out in pain. Oh, that sobered him up. His mind flicked back to normal for a second, and he created an arrow of fire, before attemptingto stab it into the girl's back. Whe he was sure that he'd gotten it there, he grabbed the katana and tried his best to wrench it out of his shoulder, only just managing to pull the blade out, blood spilling over. With a groan, Dai stepped back a little bit, and went onto one knee, the flaming bow dissipating into thin air...

He breathed in, out, in, out, grimacing in pain the whole time...

"Let's call this a tie..." He stood up shakily, turned around and walked away, stumbling as he went. He had to get to the base. And he had to work some way around this inability to use Rise.

He was useless compared to her speed, and that was a problem that needed fixing.

Lyca felt a burning pain as the arrow scorched the flesh on her back, the fact that the arrow had less penetration due to being used without the bow, did not make it colder. The scent of burning flesh and the feeling made her let out a small moan before releasing the pressure of her sword abit. The enemy escaped her slash after being struck on his shoulder and distant himself. Lyca fell to one knee "Too bad i was really enjoying this" She decided to accept his draw, it would allow her to enjoy herself mor ein the future. The scent of the man blood on her clothes put her in a happy mood.

"i need to grow stronger" She needed to find a way to attack from farther away. If only she had something simular to that bow, something that would let her deal damage without needing to close the distance.

She decided to head home, she needed to heal abit.
