Search for the truth...(pt3)

Before Raven ever made it to Sector A, he was distracted by a strange looking Tavoo. This one appeared to be a blob of sorts. He landed on the ground and looked at the strange creature. It made a move to leap at him exposing sharp teeth on it's underside. Raven quickly cut it down with one of his hidden knives.

He continued his journey but was interrupted by a lone figure in the distance. After his last run in with a stranger he probably should have been more careful but he didn't really care. If this man was a threat, he'd simply kill him and move on.

The Psychier flew and landed in front of the man. He became visible and tangible and just stared at him. The stranger smiled warmly and bowed respectfully. "Hello. My name in Nikoto...And who might you be?" Raven was taken back by Nikoto's formality in this place. Mikoto had short and slightly curly red hair, fair skin, tall, obvious muscles but kept his body lean, and had shining eyes. He looked all too friendly.

Raven sighed and shook his head. "My name is Raven...Why are you here?" Nikoto shrugged and smiled. "No particular reason...Just wandering, watching, observing...learning." Nikoto smiled warmly and continued walking. He signaled for him to follow.

Raven hesitated for a moment before sighing and walking with him. He was going to get killed doing this, he just knew it. So why did he go with the man? Maybe because he was tired of being alone? Not romantically just socially. Or maybe it was at the chance to possibly kill and get a step closer to finding Chace's killer. Or maybe it was because he reminded him so much of Chace.

The pair walked and talked. Raven kept Nikoto three feet ahead of him nearly at all times. The stranger's friendliness was still unnerving to Raven, but it was getting comforting. The more they talked, the more he saw Chace in this man. It was warming to his heart. He missed Chace a lot, and hated that they never got a chance to actually meet.

They were attacked by Tavoo, and Nikoto proved his worth by slaying them with Cure PSI. This was too weird for Raven. This man was a Cure fighter like Chace was. He could only smile and wonder what Chace would think about this."

The pair walked all the way to a cave tucked out of sight. Raven leaned against it's wall and looked at Nikoto as he sat down with a sigh. "Feels good to finally get off my feet...Been walking all day..." Raven smirked and looked out at the desert. "What are you looking for? You don't walk that long without wanting something specific..." Nikoto shrugged and looked at Raven with his overly-friendly smile.

"The Resistance....I want to join them. Don't you want to? Don't you want to fight for what was taken from you?" Raven continued to look out at the desert. The just didn't know...

Some time passed in silence. They were attacked a few times, but they held their own. The pair talked once during the silence, and that was just to clarify they were alive. Raven was deep in though, laying on the cave floor., and Nikoto was humming to himself silently.

"So, Raven, what do you fight for?" Raven looked at Nikoto. His face must have given away his question because Nikoto clarified. "I mean, why are you fighting? Why do you kill? Raven shrugged and rolled onto his back. "I fight because I have to..."

It was then that things went wrong. "Well what about Chace?" Raven sat up and narrowed his eyes at the male. "Excuse me?" Nikoto seemed to realize his mistake and smiled. "Nothing nothing." Raven stood up and flicked his wrist to take hold of one of his knives. "What the hell did you say?..." Nikoto smiled darkly and his form began to change. He grew more monstrous, his eyes turned white, his muscles bulged greatly from all over his body, and over all he lost all sense of attractiveness.

All around Raven the world shattered and fell like pieces of glass. He was left in the darkness with this beast. It made sense now, and he was not happy at all.

Moments later in the real world, Raven's body was twitching. The blob on his arm screamed and Raven's body snapped to life and flung the Tavoo off. The Psychier was beyond pissed. He flipped the dagger around in his hand as his muscles awakened. "You fucked with the wrong person today..." Raven went into a ghost form, reached into the Tavoo who cried out in pain, and ripped out his core which he quickly crushed. The Tavoo thrashed for am moment before turning into dust.

Raven sighed and rubbed his bitten arm. "Fucking Trance..." He grumbled and continued walking to Sector A.
