Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptySun Oct 24, 2010 10:59 am

A man with white hair, dressed in a dark blue jacket, which was worn over a long sleeve button-up shirt. He was placing a polded piece of paper in his pants pocket when he walked into an old open roof stadium. From what Chatha remembered this was to be the location for his first fight. Judging by the size of the place, he would guess that the place used to hold about 10,000 people before it was shut down, which Chatha didn't know the reasons for. Wanting to get a feel for the place before his opponent arrived. The place was massive so it was going to take him at least a few hours to see the whole place when it was a self-guided tour of an old arena. Knowing that he didn't have a lot of time, Chatha kept his PSI pressence low, and started to look the place over.

After about an hour, Chatha found himself in the annoucers box. Dust was everywhere from the many years it had been untouched. Walking up to the mic, Chatha started to fiddle with some of the knobs and other mechanics, not completely sure what he was doing, and without realizing it had flipped the microphone on. Getting tired of the annoucers box, he quietly left it. Heading to the higher levels, his PSI still remarably low, Chatha sat in one of the old, stiff chairs and brought out his ice rifle, and started waiting for his opponet to show.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptySun Oct 24, 2010 6:16 pm

He hadn't gotten his Psi ready yet. He needed to keep as much of a hold on sanity as he could. Dai walked through the entrance of the arena, the same way that Chatha had done about half-an-hour earlier. He put a hand against one of the sides of the doorframe, and looked the area over. Great. From where he was standing now, it appeared that everything was going to be against him. Too many places for someone to hide, and far too little open space - he could be killed in seconds fom someone's hidey-hole. With a sigh, Dai simply decided to take his place a seat, waitng for someone to make their move...

Turns out he had to wait half-an-hour. Because he heard the whine of a microphone going on. The sound came through the speakers for a second, but that was all he needed, and his attention was immediately sent to the announcer's box, and the dark shadow that had escaped from it. He moved forward slightly, and stood up, stll training his eyes on the shadow, hat had now stopped and leaned against a chair.

"Alright, come out now. We should at least get some sort of formalities out of the way before we try to kill each other. I don't feel like losing my humaity and then talking..."

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyMon Oct 25, 2010 2:59 am

Chatha smiled as Dai looked at him from afar, while asking for formalities. "The name is Chatha," was all he said before getting and placing his left leg on the chair in front of him. Raising the rifle to his face, Chatha aimed for the spot inches in front of Dai's right leg. He fired two shots, before creating two swords of ice, which he placed on the bottoms if his shoes. Jumping onto the seats in front of him, Chatha slid down the seats, while firing more shots around Dai. All the spots would freeze to ice when the bullets touched them, just like the seats beneath him. Chatha smiled as he made his way back down to the field. He would once again test his powers against another person instead of those annoying Tavoo in Psyren.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Oct 26, 2010 8:06 am

Dai smiled, and was about to call out his own name, when the man brought the rifle up to his face and began to fire at him. The bullets hit the ground near him, and created small pillars of ice where they landed. Dai's eyes widened, and he hurriedly looked up at the man, who was now sliding down towards him on sk--er--swords of ice, firing more shots. He started to move, diving out of the way of as many shots as he could, ice exploding out nearby with every shot. He shouted out, and suddenly felt the burning pain of a round hitting his left hand, knocking him down. He groaned, and pulled himself up to his feet, looking up at Chatha.

"Heh... Looks like you've established your dominance in this fight already. I'll bet you can use more than just Burst..." He grinned, and raised his left hand into the air, focussing Burst waves into his hawk tattoo with a grin.

"Problem is..." The ice began to melt as his hand heated up, and a longbow made out of pure, orange flames grew out of the tattoo, and Dai knew that he was ready. Or was he...? He could feel it already... The PSI causing him to lose control of his mind... He had to finish this as fast as possible, he didn't want to hurt this guy any more than he had to. Raising his arm, he created an arrow of fire, nocked it and pulled back, before firing a single one at the man who was sliding towards him.

"Before I forget myself, I'm Daigoro. Or Dai. Not that it matters."

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Oct 26, 2010 11:30 am

"Nice to meet Dai. Not that it really matters" He replied while taking a break from shooting. The air around Chatha was getting colder, so by the time Dai had melted the ice around his a layer of ice had developed covering his whole body. The ice armor being hidden under his clothes was for now out of Dai's sight. He carefully watched as the arrow Dai had shot towards him. Chatha could feel the heat coming from it. Fire user. This should be interesting. He thought to himself. Not wanting to take any chances, Chatha bent his legs and jumped over the arrow. Thing was, he forgot for a split second that when close enough together fire would melt ice, and that is what exactly happened to the swords on the bottom of his feet. "Ah shit" Was all he was able to say, before he started to fall towards the last row of chairs right before. Flipping his body foward so that his body was now facing the ground, Chatha raised his rirlfe to his face, and fired consecutive bullets with the first one hitting the last chair, and the others hitting each other within seconds. creating a platform.

Using more of the momentum from the jump, Chatha landed on the platform with grace and very little effort. Staying in his squating position, ice started to cover his palms, providing him with more protection against Dai's attacks. This fight was going to be interesting. Fire vs Ice. A fight to see what element was truly supriour. Leveling his rifle once again, Chatha fired of eight shots all at different points on Dai's body. Using this as cover, he morphed the rifle into a sword, while creating a second on out of thin air. Pushing off towards Dai, he throw the second sword, and sprinted to the left of Dai, and swung the sword down on his left shoulder. By the time Chatha had reached Dai, ice was forming on the outside of his clothes, in the shoulder and arm areas.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyWed Oct 27, 2010 7:34 am

Dai grinned. It appeared that his attack had worked, melting the swords under the man's feet and causing him to lose stability. But that grin turned to a look of shock, as Chatha suddenly regained control of his movements, and started to move back towards Dai, firing eight rounds at him. Dai's eyes narrowed, and he dived out of the way, just in time, it seemed. Or not, as the eighth round collided with his leg, freezing it over. He shouted out, and created another arrow, using the stick to melt the ice. He looked up, ready to move towards Chatha, when he was struck. He looked down at his arm, a horrified on his face as ice began to build up down his arm again.

"Shit..." He pulled himself away, and stood up straight, building another arrow and melting this ice off too... With a soft sigh, Dai looked back up at Chatha, a slightly different look behind the red eyes. It was happening already.

"Oh, THE- Not... yet..." He yelled out, and raised his left arm towards Chatha, aiming down the sights on the bow.

"Urufubaraju!" He created an arrow and nocked it, before firing a massive barrage of the flaming sticks towards Chatha, covering a wide area.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyWed Oct 27, 2010 11:11 am

"Shit" Was all he could say, as he watched Dai, nock another fire arrow. Knowing that the temperature further back was going to be a few degrees closer to zero, Chatha jumped back, and created an ice shield that was think as a bookcase. Just seconds after the shield was up, Chatha felt the impact of the contact between fire and ice. The ice was melting quickly, which meant the teperature in the arena still wasn't cold enough to give him the advantage he wanted. Well there was a way to fix that. Seeing the shield thinning, Chatha jumped to the left just as the fire broke though, the majority hitting the seats behind him, the rest burned through the right sleeve of his jacket and shirt, and melted away some of the armor that was protecting his skin. The armor quickly replaced itself like nothing had happened.

"Not bad. But can you hit your opponent when he can't be seen?" Chatha said before summoning a bunch of dark grey clouds above the open arena. Seconds later, a blizzard started, dropping the temperature to -20 within minutes. This caused the armor on Chatha to expand to its full capicty with spikes starting to form on the shoulders and knuckles. Anyone caught in this would not be able see in front of them, and sensing Chatha would be a mission considering each and every snow flake and ice chunk held traces of his PSI. Moving to the right of Dai, Chatha summoned his rifle and fired five shots, before changing his location.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyFri Oct 29, 2010 6:32 am

Dai felt the temperature suddenly drop. What the... He looked around him, and saw the wind begin to blow. He held out his right hand. Was it... snowing? A second later, a blizzard started.

The fuck? His eyes widened as Chatha disappeared into nothingness. Dai tried to trace his PSI, but it seemed to be impossible. He looked up, and suddenly felt the chunks of ice him him. He shouted out in pain, and started to shiver. Cold... He created an arrow of fire, and melted this ice off too, so that the general temperature around him raised slightly, stopping his shivers. But once he stopped the arrow, his body temperature reduced once more. That said, it produced surprising clarity in his mind.

As far as I can tell, all of this ice and snow is moving in one direction. All of the PSI is moving in one direction, clouding my vision and making it so that I can neither see nor track him. But... His eyes opened, and he suddenly removed the bow and slowed down his PSI, head thudding slightly, but the cold quickly reduced the pain. He closed his eyes, and felt for the PSI.

All in one direction... EXCEPT FOR YOU! He had seen it - a source of PSI moving against the flow. He couldn't tell if it was even Chatha, he could simply be firing at some fake imbued with PSI, but it was a lead, and one that he would take. He re-created his bow, and took aim in the general direction he'd felt the unusual discrepancy from. Three arrows were nocked, and fired in that direction.

But because he'd recreated his PSI without resting, his mind was deteriorating at a slightly higher rate than earlier.

"I will DESTROY Y- I told you, not yet!"

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyFri Oct 29, 2010 11:54 am

Chatha had about two minutes before the blizzard would break. It wasn't a lot of time, but for now it was all he would need for the time being. It was shortly after the bullets had it Dai, that Chatha saw three fire arrows fly towards him. Not bad for finding him, but fire quickly lost its heat in weather like this, so when the arrows hit him, they just left three small dents in his armor. These disappeared instantly , making the armor look as good as new.

Not bad. But in this weather, I have the advantage. Lowering his PSI to a point where it was masked with the snow that was falling. Wanting to get himself in a good position, Chatha merged his ice rifle with his armor, and created two ice swords. Throwing the first one from where he was standing, it would be on course for Dai's right shoulder. Circling ot his back, Chatha whiped the second one with even a greater force and speed.

With the sword trap set and in motion, Chatha used rise and bolted for the annoucer booth that he had found before Dai had arrived. Arriving in seconds, he noticed for the first time that the mic was one. That was when Chatha got an idea. Quietly stationing himself near the microphone, Chatha withdrew his rifle from his armor, and placed the muzzle so that it was right beside the mic. Firing off seven quick shots, the sound of the bullets leaving the muzzle echoed throughout the old arena.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 4:13 am

The first sword hit, and Dai shouted out in pain, going onto a knee. As soon as his knee touched the ground, another sword flew over his shoulder. Chatha... had tried to take him from both sides... The redhead sneered, and stood back up, looking around for the other man. So, he'd taken a hint from his last attempt, and put his Psi low enough to not be felt, huh? Dai sighed, and attempted to melt the ice that had covered his left shoulder. It was slow going, and as soon as he had melted some, it froze over again. The redhead spat, waiting out the storm now. Until he heard it.

Bang. A shot! Dai looked left and right for the source.

Bang. Another one! Dai couldn't place the source, it seemed to be coming from around him somewhere...

Bang. Erg...

Bang, bang, bang. Three more in succession. Dai was confused now... Why hadn't he been shot yet?

Bangwhiiiiiiiiiir... Waitasec... Bangwhiiiir? That sounded familiar... THE MICROPHONE! Chatha was in the announcer's box! Dai stood up straight, and turned... Wait... where was the announcer's box? Shit. In this blizzard, Dai had completely lost his bearings. He really was going to have to wait it out now...

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 6:27 am

Chatha was down to his last minute before the blizzard disappeared, which would allow Dai to regain his bearings. Not needing the microphone anymore, Chatha destroyed it by firing a single shot at it, which rang louder throughout the arena than the others. Leaving the announcer's box, Chatha kept his Psi low and was running on top of the back of the seats while firing shots one for each chair, at Dai. Shots were coming at almost every angle. It was a good use of the seats, considering it made it look like the bullets were coming from higher up than they really were. After firing the last shot thirty chairs in, Chatha started running back down to the field, while letting the rifle disappear back into the cold atmosphere. Producing two swords, he dragged them along the ground creating two lines of ice.

Reaching Dai in a matter of minutes, thrust one of the swords at Dai. Right before the tip of the sword touced Dai, Chatha lets go of the sword, and jumps to the right, and flares his Psi before swinging down with the second sword on Dai's neck. Seconds later the blizzard disappered revealing Chatha in a full suit of armor made out of complete ice, with spikes coming out of the shoulders, guanlets and shin guards.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 6:52 am

VWHRRRRRRR! The trill of the microphone being destroyed sent shockwaves through Dai's spine, but allowed him to gain back two distinct advantages. He could now see, and he could now tell where Chatha was. Not that it would do him any good... He quickly created an arrow, and was in the process of melting the ice when the first shot was fired upon him. He looked up with a visage of horror, and melted the ice as quickly as he could. As soon as that happened, he dived out of the way of the first shot, and nocked a single arrow, raising it up to the shots.

"Urufubaraju!" He pulled back, and fired, creating a barrage of arrows that streaked up to the seats, colliding with the occasional bullet, but they still got through, hitting the ground around Dai's feet. If they weren't hit, they were partially melted by the heat, and that caused them to either do less damage to the redhead, or caused them to maneuver on a slightly different trajectory. He grimaced, and stopped his attacks.

"What now...?" The first sword came straight for his chest. No time to react! He tried to move, but the sword suddenly hit his chest, and created a plate of ice there. He growled slightly, feeling something shatter in his head. He opened his eyes wide, and shouted out in feral rage.

Nonononono!!! He couldn't control it anymore... He'd failed. The redhead stood there, snorting in rage. As the last of the blizzard finally resided, it was noticeable that Dai had, indeed, changed. He growled, and stared at Chatha, who was now coming for his neck. He held his right arm up, allowing the sword to latch on with Chatha still holding.

"D... DESTRUCTION IS SUCH A WONDERFUL THING!" He raised his left arm to the other man's chest, and suddenly focussed his Psi. The bow receded, and changed into a cannon that covered his arm. He grinned and snarled, before shouting.

"Suiteki... KYANON!" The cannon suddenly took in energy, and fired a beam of fire from direct and close ranges.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 10:48 pm

"Ah fuck" Was all Chatha was able to say right before the cannon that had appeared out of nowhere released its shot of energy. The beam of fire hit, and hit hard. If Chatha hadn't been wearing his full suit of armour odds are we would have died from such a shot. He travelled all the way to the other end of the arena, and right before hitting the wall, he was able to create a rifle and fire off two shots before the impact with the wall threw the gun from his hands. It took Chatha a few minutes to get up from the impact. Looking at himself he saw that the fire had not only burned right through the outer armour but had also reached the inner portion as well, which was now visable and could be seen re forming on his chest and stomach, and was good as new in just under a minute with some help from Chatha. He didn't notice Dai's change thanks to the cannon and impact against the wall.

Creating two swords, Chatha sprinted towards his rifle that was knocked from him, and kicked it into the air when he reached it, and threw the sword in his right hand before catching the falling rifle. Now he could fight in close and personal or with range. He had three minutes before he could summon another blizzard, and he would need it if he wanted to win this fight and advance to the next round. For now Chatha planned to use the rifle to attack and defend what he could with the last remain sword in his left hand. Firing above Dai, Chatha made sure that each shot hit the one shot before it, which created a huge chunk of ice right above Dai's head, which started to fall at a very fast rate, all thanks to gravity.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyThu Nov 04, 2010 5:54 am

The problem with creating a giant thing of ice above someone's head is that they usually see it coming. Dai saw it coming. He yelped, and jumped back, the fire in his eyes burning so fiercely that it was about ready to melt the ice around, well, everywhere! He growled with a feral invocation, and suddenly ran straight for the man, not bothering to keep his range. He tried his hardest to dodge as many shots as he could, dived to the side, and nocked another created arrow, firing at the man a single shot with a yell.

He suddenly started to run again, moving as close to Chatha as he could. His long-range attacks had their useand although he was nigh useless at close range, he had an ace up his sleeve. He just hoped that Chatha would take the bait... If he didn't, he was dead anyway. He ran straight for him, and suddenly reached out for the man, putting his arms around him in what was reminiscent of a "bearhug". As soon as he had done that, he created an arrow of fire, and went to plunge it straight into Chatha's back, an attempt to melt the ice. He didn't have a weapon, but if he could hold on long enough, he could use the heat of the fire to melt the flesh off his back...

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptySat Nov 06, 2010 8:38 am

Placing Rise into his legs and moved towards the arrow and disappeared right before it touched him and reppeared just as it moved past the spot were Chatha had been. That was the first time he had used Rise. Chatha wasn't surprised that Dai would try to defeated him by placing an arrow where he thought Chatha wouldn't be able to do anything. Thing was Dai should have stuck to a long range battle, would have given him a better chance of winning. Now that he was in range of his arms, Dai had pretty much sealed his fate. Chatha waited till Dai had started his "bearhug" before he started his counterattack.

Chatha felt the heat of the arrow, not that it would ever touch him. Creating a shield of ice right in front of the arrow that was two meters thick. Chatha smiled at Dai, while Chatha placed his left hand behind Dai's back, and his right a good foot in front of the core of his body. "What do you think would happen if instead of the extremeties getting cold first, the core of the body did." Was all he said before creating a sword of ice in each hand and thrusted both of them to the fron and back of the body's core. Now it was just a race of time. Would Dai's core get cold enough first, or would the arrow melt the shield and reach his back and melt his last layer of defence?

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptySat Nov 06, 2010 9:07 am

Dai shouted out in rage. The cold... was spreading... He didn't... have much time left... His eyes narrowed, and the last of his tactical mind sprung up a quick plan, one e hoped would work - if it didn't, his ferality would break through, and he'd most likey die for it. He suddenly tried to break froo of the bearhug, and brought the flaming bow up to one sword, and the arrow to another, instantly getting to work. is core temperature was rapidly going down, but he worked quickly and carefully, melting through the swrods, and manageing to push himself off Chatha, with a thrust from his legs. He had time to lose... He had to do it now, while he was in midair.

He quickly lowered the bow at Chatha, and nocked a single arrow. He grinned, and shouted out.

"URUFUBARAJU!" The arrows suddenly started flying from his bow at a large rate of speed - and the fact that Dai was putting such a widespread attack over such a large area meant that it gave little room to dodge... All Chatha would be able to do was deflect as many arrows as he could.

Falling back, Dai suddenly hit the ground, and his barrage of arrows stopped - and Dai went onto one knee with a grimace, the bow suddenly dissipating into thin air.

"I've done... all I can. Just please... let me stay...awake." He had to... He needed to watch the results of his efforts.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 3:24 am

Chatha smiled as he raised his rifle to the falling fire arrows "Yes lets this little dance." He fired a dozen shots which instantly meet with the arrows that moved towards him. Chatha knew that the bullets would do little if anything to lower the number or even slow them down. Closing his eyes, Chatha created a ice shield that was three meters thick. It would last for only a short amount of time with these many arrows coming down at him. Chatha felt the heat start to make it through the shield. Only a couple minutes left. The number of arrows had decreased. The two minutes passed quicker than Chatha thought, not that he really cared. Keeping his eyes shut, he sensed where the arrows approximate landing point was, and started to dodge them. Now he couldn't do this perfectly and every now and then an arrow or two slowly burnt his clothing, exposing the thin layer of ice covering his body. By the end of the barrage, ice was growing back filling patches in the armour that the arrows had made, with Chatha looking at Dai. He created a sword, and tossed it right in front of Dai's face. "Thanks for the fun." Was all Chatha slowly caught his breath after a few close calls.

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyMon Nov 15, 2010 4:26 am

As the sword landed before him, Dai knew that he was done. THere was nothing more he could do, save going into a blind fury and worsening his already seeping injuries. He grimaced, and put a single hand onto the hilt of the sword, using it to prop himself up onto his feet, and as he did that, he felt the ice start to encase his right hand, and move slowly up his arm. No matter - that was along the lines of Dai's intention. He hoped. With a small growl, Dai took two steps forward, pulling his arm back, readying himself to strike.

He took one more step, and simply collapsed from exhaustion. He was finished, no matter what he tried, this guy had beaten him... He was weak, worthless, nothing. He was a flickering candle in the wind, and like that, he could be snuffed at any given point.

"Good... match... eh?" As consciousness slowly faded, Dai laughed.

Heh heh heh... Heh heh heh... And Daigoro Ito fell into a state of unconsciousness.

(MATCH OVER - CHATHA IS THE VICTOR)

Round 1- Chatha vs Dai Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 1- Chatha vs Dai   Round 1- Chatha vs Dai EmptyMon Nov 15, 2010 7:10 am

Chatha watched as Dai placed his right hand on the sword in front of him. So Dai planned to use a sword, brave but stupid. Ice had almost covered his whole hand by the time Dai collapsed in front of Chatha. He crouched down in front of Dai.

"Not bad, but you still have a ways to go, before we can stand on equal footing." Chatha said to the unconscious Dai, as he reached down to the sword, which disappeared at his touch taking the ice that had climbed Dai's arm as well. Chatha turned away from Dai and walked out of the arena, knowing that whoever set up this tournament would come for Dai shortly.
